Arts & Culture
The Art & Culture program is administered by a combined team of independent professionals working in the Arts to assist Prescott-Joseph Center to present a diverse and rich array of art programs for and performed by the local community.
These artists want to share their work with the community and so they perform and teach their art to the community, here at PJC. Music, art, theater, and healing arts are taught here free. The restoration of the magnificent convent building is in itself a program as it is a work of art. In the past, several of our artists in residence have worked on it. We desire to continue these programs, stabilize them and increase our capacity.

In addition to increased creativity, indirect impact includes elevated self-esteem, improved self-discipline and abstract reasoning skills, which assist with learning in the classroom. MIS serves approximately 200 students ages 5 – 10 years old annually with 81% of the students being eligible for the free or reduced-price lunch program.
