In our daily work with families in need in West Oakland, we at Prescott-Joseph have become increasingly aware of the tremendous need for a food pantry in the Lower Bottom of West Oakland. Bill Somervillle, President of PVF, offered Prescott-Joseph Center for Community Enhancement the opportunity to sign an agreement with PVF regarding availability of funding by PVF in the event of a major disaster. This was approved by our Board of Directors and we have signed the agreement. This is part of Prescott-Joseph’s efforts in Disaster Planning.
