Who We Are …

Prescott-Joseph serves as a friendly, helping hand for the community of West Oakland. Prescott-Joseph Center for Community Enhancement, Inc. is a non-profit corporation organized in 1995 in the Prescott district of West Oakland. It evolved out of the conceptual scheme for the adaptive re-use of the former Saint Joseph's Convent (St. Patrick Convent) as a center for community services, education, culture and development in West Oakland.

Every Breath Counts: A Benefit for the Northern California Breathmobile®

For three years the Northern California Breathmobile® has provided
no cost diagnosis, education, treatment and medication for children with asthma,
keeping them out of emergency rooms and hospitals in school. Help us raise funds to continue the fight against childhood asthma!

The West Oakland Community Collaborative

Agencies address a wide range of issues from youth development, substance abuse and financial literacy to job training and basic needs. All WOCC members have made a committment to work together to serve the needs of West Oakland and help strengthen each others' capacity to deliver services.
